Job Description

Wood is currently sourcing for Concrete Finishers to join our team in Freeport, TX for a 3-month project. Responsibilities Accurately interpret and applyinformation from work orders, job orders, specifications, blueprints,ISO’s or other drawings and recognize basic blueprint terms and symbols for job application Identify, recognize anddemonstrate safe usage of power tools and hand tools appropriate for thejob Recognize various materials usedin piping systems and demonstrate a working knowledge of appropriate material handling techniques Select and safely use appropriateequipment which may include (but not limited to) manlifts, forklifts, andcompany trucks Demonstrates knowledge and skillsin safe rigging practices Identify, explain and performcrane hand signals Demonstrate ability to properlybuild and brace concrete forms using various systems. Demonstrates ability to cut,bend, install and tie rebar Demonstrate ability to anchor bolts Demonstrate knowledge and skills in pouring and finishing concrete Demonstrate knowledge and abilityto recognize a correctly built scaffold Demonstrate knowledge and skillsin the handling and application of Epoxy grouts Measure materials or distances, using square, measuring tape, or rule to lay outwork Cut or saw boards, timbers, or plywood to required size, using handsaw, powersaw, or woodworking machine Assembleand fasten material together to construct wood or metal framework ofstructure, using bolts, nails, or screws Anchor and brace forms and other structures in place, using nails, bolts, anchorrods, steel cables, planks, wedges, and timbers Markcutting lines on materials, using pencil and scriber Bore bolt holes in timber, masonry or concrete walls, using power drill Qualifications Loads, transports, unload material, tools, equipment, and supplies. May assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of material and work pieces during installation. May perform minor maintenance or cleaning activities of tools and equipment. Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required. Has worked as a Concrete Finisher for at least 3 years as a journeyman.
