We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our private practice for two days per week. In this role, you will be a vital clinical partner, working closely with the dentist to deliver optimal oral health outcomes. This position is ideal for a clinician who excels at patient education and thrives in a supportive, team-oriented environment focused on preventive health and periodontal excellence.

Job Description Clinical Preventive Care: Perform professional dental cleanings, including tooth polishing, thorough scaling, and root planing.
Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments, including medical history reviews, oral cancer screenings, and diagnostic evaluations of periodontal health.
Patient Education: Counsel patients on oral hygiene practices, the importance of preventive care, and specific treatment objectives to improve long-term health.
Diagnostic Imaging: Utilize medical imaging techniques to capture high-quality periapical and bitewing X-rays.
Infection Control: Maintain strict adherence to healthcare infection prevention protocols, disinfection procedures, and aseptic techniques.
Documentation: Manage detailed patient charting and clinical documentation within Dentrix, ensuring full compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Collaborative Care: Work seamlessly with the dentist and clinical team to coordinate treatment plans and ensure patient safety.
part-time $50 - $65 per hour

Shift & Schedule Monday: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Tuesday: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM
Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Thursday: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Friday: 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM
Saturday & Sunday: Closed
Licensure: Current and valid California license as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH).
Certifications: Current certification to administer local anesthesia.
Software: Familiarity with Dentrix software for patient records and scheduling.
Clinical Skills: Proficiency in periodontal maintenance and diagnostic dental imaging.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient interaction.
Regulatory Compliance: Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
Experience Level: Open to all experience levels; entry-level candidates with strong clinical foundations are encouraged to apply.
Organizational Skills: Proven ability to manage patient records and clinical flow with high attention to detail.
Education: Advanced background in health education and nutritional counseling as it relates to oral health.
